THE
FUTURE
OF PINCH TRAINING
IS HERE

Discover the professional way to strengthen your claws

The Pinch Machine is THE finger board

of pinch training.

It's a patent pending unique training device, built to strengthen the palm and fingers' pinch ability.

It converts a vertical force into horizontal pinch strength; useful in training of athletes (mostly climbers),

physical therapy, and overall pinch tolerance.

Setting new training standards.

Uniqueness in Professionalism

The Pinch Machine's uniqueness is in its human-centered design, which provides a safe and focused training method that non of the existing methods offer. It was carefully developed, using the following strict principles, which are aligned with Eva Lopez's 2013 research (Ph.D. in Sports Performance)

Measurability

Using the traditional pinch block method is highly dependent on friction between the fingers and the block, the friction is influence by external factors: humidity, temperature and more. Those variables constantly changing from training sessions and influence the user's pinch ability. With the pinch machine the conversion of the vertical force into horizontal pinch strength cancels the need to relay on friction, this provides a unique solution to measure progress of the user's pinch strength accurately over time.

Specificity Principle

This principle refers to the fact that one must train in the way the muscle works during the performance of the sporting activity that one wants to train for. By the same principle, a climber who normally pinch holds at shoulder height or higher, should not train on a grip that pulls below his pelvis like the wooden block method. The pinch machine hangs above the shoulder height allowing shoulder angle of approximately 110 degrees.  That trains the climber in the most specific and power efficient way.

Pinch Width Versatility

The pinch machine width varies from 6cm to 12cm (2.4 to 4.7 in) pinch thickness, making training accessible for different palm sizes or can be modify by your own training preferences or goals.

Ergonomic

* Body position - your body posture always remains neutral since the weight hangs from the device and not from one side of the human body. * Shoulder angle - the location of the Pinch Machine assures a shoulder angle of 100-120 degrees, allowing maximum pinch force generation. * Wrist posture - the Pinch Machine's downwards angle of 23 degrees allows the best neutral position for your wrist. * Elbow position - for optimal ergonomic posture and power generation, it's recommended to rotate the machine 30 degrees sideways. Using the device at an angle reduces extensive tension on the elbow's flexor tendons (easily possible using any of our mounts).
